These terms govern your use of the Lale AI mobile app (“Lale”). By downloading and using Lale, you accept these terms; if you don’t, please don’t use Lale. How your personal data is handled is explained in our privacy policy.
What Lale is and isn’t
Lale is a wellbeing app for period and cycle tracking, food logging and chatting with an AI assistant.
- Lale isn’t a medical device or a healthcare service. It can’t diagnose, doesn’t recommend treatment and doesn’t replace a doctor.
- Cycle and fertile window predictions are estimates. Lale isn’t a method of birth control and must not be relied on alone to avoid or achieve pregnancy.
- Lale isn’t an emergency service. In an emergency, call your local emergency number right away.
- Calories and nutrition values are approximate, and recognising food from a photo can be wrong. You can check and fix a meal before you save it.
Age limit
Lale is for people aged 18 and over. By using Lale you confirm that you are at least 18.
AI replies
Lale’s replies are created by an AI model. They may contain information that is wrong, incomplete or not right for you. Make decisions about your health with a healthcare professional, and don’t put off seeing a doctor because of something Lale said.
Rules of use
- Use Lale only for personal and lawful purposes.
- Don’t try to break, overload or get around the security of the app or our server. Except where the law expressly allows it, don’t modify the app or try to reverse engineer it.
- Don’t use Lale with scripts or automated tools, and don’t collect Lale’s replies to train another AI.
- Don’t send content that is unlawful or infringes other people’s rights.
If these rules are broken, we may restrict access to Lale’s online features (chat and photos). This never affects the records on your phone.
Free plan and Premium
- Lale is free to download. The free plan includes a daily allowance for chatting with Lale and plate photos; the calendar, logs and adding meals by hand have no limits. Current allowances are shown in the app.
- Premium is an auto-renewing monthly or yearly subscription with more chat and photo allowance. The price and period are shown in the app and the store before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your App Store or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The subscription renews for the same period and price unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period; your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
- If there is an introductory price, such as a discounted first month, the subscription renews at the regular price when the introductory period ends.
- You can manage and cancel your subscription in your store account’s subscription settings; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period. Deleting the app doesn’t cancel the subscription.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their own rules. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected.
Your records
The records you enter in Lale are yours and are kept on your phone. We can’t access them. So if your phone is lost or broken or you delete the app, your records can’t be recovered unless you have a backup file. We recommend using the app’s password-protected backup; if you forget the backup’s password, the backup can’t be opened.
Intellectual property
Lale’s name, logo, design, software, food table and texts belong to Lale AI or are used under licence. We give you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use Lale in line with these terms. The licences of the open-source software used in the app are listed on the app’s licences page.
Changes to the service
We may add features to Lale or change existing features and daily allowances. A new version may be needed for security or compatibility; in an old version that hasn’t been updated, Lale chat may stop working while your calendar and records keep working. If we ever shut the service down, we will tell you in advance; the records on your phone won’t be deleted and you can export them.
Limitation of liability
Lale is provided “as is”, and we can’t guarantee that it will work without interruption or errors. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect losses from decisions based on Lale’s predictions, replies or outages. This doesn’t limit liability for intent or gross negligence, or your statutory consumer rights.
Apple and Google
If you downloaded Lale from the App Store, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Apple and Google are not parties to these terms and are not responsible for maintaining or supporting Lale.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. If you live in another country, the mandatory consumer protection rules of that country still apply to you.
Changes
If we change these terms, we update the date on this page. For important changes we will also let you know in the app. If you keep using Lale after a change, you accept the new terms.
